How important it is to have a good liver? How to maintain a good liver?

There is a saying in Chinese medicine that a woman takes the liver as a god, which shows how important it is to have a good liver. How to maintain a good liver? Let's talk about this topic today.

The liver disease of modern people is widespread:

· Too much alcohol in the liver is called alcoholic liver.

· More fat is called fatty liver.

· The long cyst is called a liver cyst.

· Liver hardening is called cirrhosis.

· Eating too many drugs that hurt the liver is called drug liver injury.

These liver diseases are defined but not well treated. Can we rely on Chinese medical methods to cure and regulate the liver? How does TCM recognize the liver?

1

Functions of the Liver

The first primary function of the liver is the liver governs dredging. "Dredge" means to unblock, and "discharge" means to give off.

What is the liver dredge? Qi and Blood. Qi and blood are the body's energy, so the liver unblocks the whole body's energy. Qi and Blood flow in the body, and the liver is in charge of the flow of Qi and Blood.

When the body's Qi is blocked, it is called Qi depression; when Qi is blocked, it will swell; when the body's blood is blocked, it is called blood stasis; and when blood is blocked, it will hurt. The liver is like a traffic cop in charge of directing traffic. Whenever there is congestion, the liver will deal with it and clear the blocked Qi and Blood.

If the blockage of Qi and Blood is not severe, the liver can unblock the Qi and Blood. Suppose the blockage of qi and blood is severe. In that case, the liver cannot free the qi and blood, and the liver itself will be blocked, forming solid evidence.

Qi and blood are most afraid of blockage, and the liver is most fearful of jam. Qi and blood blockage will lead to liver blockage, which will aggravate the Qi and blood blockage, forming a vicious circle.

Many women have bloated stomachs and chest pain before their menstruation because their liver qi is blocked. They begin to have stomach pain and blood clots during their menstruation because their blood is blocked. People with these symptoms typically block qi and blood, indicating that the liver is blocked.

What does it mean when the liver vents? Venting is about emotions. When you are angry, the liver gives out the anger; when you are sad, the sadness is given out through tears.

Men have grievances in the heart; most of the time, it is broken teeth to the stomach to swallow, then bitter and tired to carry their own. Women who are often aggrieved by tears will find someone to cry to; crying a heart will be much more comfortable.

Men's emotions often cannot be vented, which affects the liver's health. Women detoxify through tears and menstruation—one more detoxification channel than men. Hence, women's average life expectancy is longer than men's.

Simply put, the liver is a detoxification organ. However, if the liver can not eliminate toxins, it will be "poisoned." The modern medical definition of the alcoholic liver, fatty liver, cirrhosis of the liver is too many toxins in the liver, the liver "poisoning."

The second primary function of the liver: the liver is the master of growth and development. The liver is wood in the Five  Elements, and the energy of trees is what grows upward and disperses outward. The fleshy liver is located in the right chest cavity. Still, the energy of liver qi rises from the left, raising the energy of kidney water to the upper part of the person so that the energy of the lower part can be supplied to the head.

If Liver Qi does not rise sufficiently, the supply of Qi and Blood to the head will be insufficient, and dizziness will result. If Liver Qi does not rise, Qi will be easily blocked in the chest, resulting in swelling and fullness, forming breast enlargement, nodules and other conditions. And so on.

Of course, there is a reasonable range for the rising of Liver Qi. If liver energy rises too much, it is also a pathological state. For example, Hypertension of the liver-yang type is when the energy of the liver increases too much, and the Qi and Blood rise too much, resulting in high blood pressure.

The 3rd function of the liver: the liver collects blood.

The liver stores blood and collects blood. When you fall asleep at night, the blood goes to the liver; when you wake up in the morning, the blood in the liver is transferred out again for the body to use. The in and out is filtering the blood and the waste toxins in the blood. Simply put, the liver purifies the blood.

Many of our chronic diseases are related to blood, such as Hypertension and hyperlipidemia, which are essentially too much garbage in the blood. The liver function has decreased, and cannot purify the blood waste.

So, to avoid chronic diseases, you must start by regulating and nourishing your liver.

In addition, the liver and menstruation are closely related. Once a month, the menstrual cycle lasts 28 days, with 21 days for blood collection and 7 days for blood discharge. This collection and discharge is the liver draining the blood.

A disordered menstrual cycle is caused by the disorder of the liver's way of dredging qi and blood. Chest distention, irritability, and bloated lower abdomen before menstruation are caused by the obstruction of the liver in dredging qi and blood. Blood stasis type dysmenorrhea is due to the obstruction of the liver in dredging blood; The blood is blocked and painful.

To regulate menstruation, start by regulating the liver. If you return your liver to normal, your menstruation will be expected.

2

The liver harbours the soul, its will is in anger, its fluid is in tears, its body is in the tendons, its orifice is in the eyes, and its flower is in the claws. (肝藏魂,其志在怒,在液为泪,在体合筋,开窍于目,其华在爪。)

The liver hides the soul.

What is the soul? When a person is in love, we say he is "out of his mind," meaning that his soul has run away. Simply put, the soul refers to a person's ability to love. A person with an entire soul inside the liver will quickly fall in love with others, dare to love, hate, and be rich in emotions. The liver soul is not enough to see who does not like, who does not feel, is a mute person.

Liver in the will for anger.

We all know that losing a temper hurts the liver, so many people will deliberately control their nature and not let themselves get angry. This is more damaging to the liver, and all these negative emotions are clogged, causing more damage.

Some people say that it's not good to lose your temper, and it's not good not to lose it, so what exactly should be done? The four words in the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine are the best way: tranquillity and emptiness. When you look down on people and things and vanish yourself, nothing will make you emotional. There is no anger, resentment, or hate; everything is the best arrangement, no mind and thought, and there will be no temper.

The liver is oriented to the eyes, and the fluid is tearing.

There is truth in the saying that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and you can see a person's heart through the eyes. You see, the eyes of a child are transparent and bright because the inner organs of a child are pure. When people grow up, their inner world becomes complicated, clouding their eyes.

The liver is connected to the eyes, and eye conditions often indicate problems with the liver. For example, glaucoma, moth disease, cataracts, etc., are all treated from the liver.

The liver has its flamboyance in the claws and its fullness in the tendons.

The liver's splendour is in the claws, meaning the liver can be seen through the fingers and nails. A person with a healthy liver has solid and flexible hands and feet, tough and shiny claws, and medium-sized crescents.

The liver is filled with tendons. How good the liver is, how soft the tendons are. The weaker the tendons are, the better the liver is. A child's liver is the best, and the body is the softest. The tendons get more brutal as they age, which indicates that the liver is getting more complex.

Flexing the tendons softens the liver. There is good exercise, yoga many movements are stretching and softening the tendons, which is good for nourishing and softening the liver.

The liver is wood; wood can bend and stretch; the more significant the flexibility, the better. When the wind blows, a soft tree is not easily blown down; the wind quickly blows a thorny tree down. The same is true inside the body; a person with a too-hard liver is prone to strokes.

You can also look at the bow and arrow; the more significant the bend, the farther the arrow will shoot. The man to do something, we must be able to bend and stretch, the ability to hold back, in fact, the power of the liver. Therefore, men want to achieve a career, but also to go to the liver to regulate the liver; the liver is well adjusted, the nature will also be a lot of peace.

3

 Understanding the gallbladder

The liver and gall bladder are mutually exclusive. After introducing the liver, let's get to know the biliary organs. Modern medicine considers bile a bag for storing and excreting bile, and the excreted bile is involved in food digestion. This is the primary function of bitterness.

In the eyes of Chinese medicine, the gall bladder has more advanced functions: the gall bladder is the first of the six internal organs, and all eleven zang depend on the gall bladder. The gall is a decisive officer, and it is the gall that determines whether a person has leadership and muscular power. Indecisive, fearful people are the performance of lack boldness.

Bile Qi is the main descending force, and bile descends with the stomach. Modern people have many desires, and if the heart fire is not lowered, the bile qi cannot be lowered, so the yang cannot enter the yin, and insomnia results. If the bile qi does not descend, it will go up; if the bile goes up, there will be bitterness in the mouth, many eye droppings, and other symptoms.

The liver and gallbladder are brothers in distress, the liver and gallbladder; there are difficulties together, and the gallbladder is suffering from the liver. The liver must also be adjusted together if the gall bladder is sick. In modern medicine, when dealing with gallbladder disease, the gallbladder is just a bag for bile drainage, which is dispensable and can be done with a knife. Chinese medicine can not think so; the gall is gone; who will block the bullet for the liver?
